I’m Thami Amaral, a Brazilian artist and graphic designer living in New York City. I grew up in São Paulo, spent six years in Argentina, and have been abroad for over a decade now. Each place I’ve lived has added new layers to how I see the world through people, languages, and everyday stories.
I speak Portuguese, Spanish, English, and a bit of French, and I feel most at home in creative, multicultural spaces where different perspectives meet and spark new ideas.
Art has been my way of understanding and expressing the world since I was a kid. Whether I’m painting, designing, or building a collage, I’m always searching for ways to tell stories that feel honest and alive. My work is colorful, symbolic, and often shaped by history and personal experience. I also co-host a Brazilian podcast called Fulana & Ciclana, where my friend and I talk about culture and society through open, curious conversations. At the heart of everything I do is a love for connection: visual, emotional, and human.
