Challenge
The challenge was to create a biographical and historical design, presented as a printed editorial piece that could accompany a public art exhibition. The brief offered full creative freedom in selecting the historical period and subject. I chose to spotlight Hannah Höch, a trailblazing Dada artist whose work profoundly influenced both modern art and feminist discourse.
Solution
This exhibition catalog is a dynamic tribute to Hannah Höch, blending informative content with bold, Dada-inspired visuals. Drawing from her iconic photomontage style, the design features layered imagery and fragmented compositions that echo her artistic voice. More than a guide to the show, the catalog reflects Höch’s spirit of disruption, celebrating her enduring impact on art and feminist thought.
