Vintage Fashion Exhibit
Challenge
Create 20 distinct poster designs inspired by a vintage fashion exhibition at The Met. The objective was to effectively communicate the elegance and historical richness of the event while experimenting with bold visual language. The challenge lay in finding a balance between honoring the past and presenting it in a visually contemporary, engaging format.
Solution
I developed a series of expressive posters that merge vintage sensibility with modern design elements. This version—my personal favorite—uses a historic black-and-white portrait contrasted with vibrant geometric accents and playful button imagery to symbolize the tactile nature of fashion. By employing strong text hierarchy, a dynamic composition, and contrasting typography, I aimed to create a lively and memorable piece. The project reflects my evolving understanding of layout, color, and conceptual design.
